The University Grants Commission (UGC) on June 23, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Relaunching the intensive and special 'TB-Free India - 100 Day Campaign.
The following has been stated namely: -
• All Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) should actively participate in the TB-Free India 100-Day Campaign and promote tuberculosis (TB) awareness.
• HEIs should Conduct essay writing, poster-making, speech competitions, and cultural programs focused on TB awareness.
• Sensitize students about TB, involve Youth Ambassadors, and administer the Nikshay Pledge to encourage commitment towards a TB-free India.
• HEIs are to share TB awareness messages through social media and encourage registration of Ni-kshay Mitras to support awareness and patient assistance activities.
• HEIs are to Designate a Nodal Officer to coordinate campaign activities and submit a report to the University Grants Commission (UGC) detailing the activities undertaken by the institution.
